Do Good Work with Injured-Ill Clients

Speaking of doing good work... if you find yourself working with injured-ill clients or want to, check out this professional development webinar offered by Dr. Sara Erdner through the COPE Center. This 3-hour webinar is designed to provide you with knowledge, practical skills, and resources to support injured-ill clients - all through a scientist-practitioner approach. Monthly offerings along with CEUs for CMPC recertification are available. Additionally, current graduate students are eligible for a student discount - please email Dr. Erdner for details.

While we are building additional resources to address your specific needs as mental performance entrepreneurs, here are some resources and opportunities from the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP):

• CMPC Connect. If you've considered pursuing the CMPC credential or are in the midst of putting together your application or recertification documents, here's how you can connect with members of the Certification Council. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, get clarification, and demystify the entire process. Sometimes a 10-minute conversation is much more productive than an ongoing email thread. The next meeting is April 17 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm EST, with other opportunities over the coming months.

• Webinar: Artificial Intelligence in Applied Practice: Enhancing (Not Replacing) the CMPC. Facilitated by Drs. Angel Brutus and Stephany Coakley, this AASP webinar explores a variety of components related to AI usage - ethical considerations, scope of practice, data privacy, and more. They will also offer suggestions on how to incorporate AI into your practice as a mental performance professional. Learn more about this paid webinar scheduled for March 19.

• Complete the compensation study. If you are working in the field, we highly recommend completing this survey to support Dr. Vosloo and team's efforts. They are seeking to understand jobs and compensation trends in our field from the last five years. By taking time to share our experiences, it helps craft a more accurate view of the landscape of sport psychology employment, including entrepreneurship.
